Far-infrared spectroscopy in superconductors and correlated electron systems

The properties of metal materials are mainly determined by the electrons near the Fermi surface. Far-infrared light is an electromagnetic wave of several wave-numbers to hundreds of wave-numbers, which is one of the important means to detect the electronic behavior near the Fermi surface. By measuring the reflection spectra of metals and superconducting materials and using the K-K transformation, we can obtain the photoconductance spectra of the materials under study, which can help us understand the charge dynamics.
